E8 Markets Prop Firm Review 2026: Rules, Payouts, Verdict

E8 Markets sells single-phase simulated trading accounts under a system it calls SimFi. The rules are unusually well documented, the payout mechanics are genuinely fast, and the firm’s Trustpilot rating is currently suspended for fake reviews. All three of those are true at once.

By Marta Okonkwo · Checked 26 September 2026 · Independent. Sourced from E8’s help centre and its live account configurator, not from other reviews.

Start with the thing that invalidates most of what has been written about this firm: E8 repositioned around SimFi™, and any E8 Markets review describing a two-phase evaluation is describing accounts that no longer exist.

What SimFi actually is

E8 presents SimFi as a simulated environment that scores discipline rather than a funded-capital programme. Its homepage leads with behavioural metrics — a “Behavioral Score” and a “Tilt Factor” — not with capital.

Every account runs in two stages:

  1. SimFi Challenge account — the evaluation stage.
  2. SimFi Performance account — the stage where payouts can be requested.

Rules differ between the two stages on nearly every product. That is the single most important structural fact in this E8 Markets review, and it is where traders get caught. On E8 One, news trading is allowed in the Challenge and banned in Performance. A trader who passes using news cannot use that edge on the account that actually pays.

All current products are single-phase. There is no two-phase challenge at E8 any more.

E8 One front-loads freedom and back-loads the rule. No consistency requirement in the Challenge, then a 40% best-day rule in Performance.

E8 Zero inverts it. Consistency applies during the Challenge, then Performance is unrestricted apart from payout caps. E8 describes it as offering “the biggest freedom of any E8 program”, and for once the marketing matches the rules table.

E8 Zero and the futures products are not on e8markets.com at all — they live at e8futures.com with a separate help centre. Nothing in this E8 Markets review was verified against futures pricing.

Drawdown is the real difference between products

E8 runs four distinct drawdown mechanics. Getting these right is most of the value of any review of this firm.

TypeWhat it doesUsed by
DynamicMoves only when you close a profit. Becomes static once you reach the starting balance.E8 One
EOD DynamicMoves on closed profits only at end of day. Becomes static at the starting balance.E8 Zero, E8 Signature
StaticFixed. Only moves when you request the first payout.E8 Pro
Daily DrawdownHard breach — hitting it ends the account.E8 One, E8 Pro
Daily PauseSoft breach — trading pauses for the day instead. Performance stage only.E8 Signature

The Daily Pause is the most under-reported feature E8 has. Every other product here ends the account on a daily-limit hit. Signature suspends trading instead. If you have ever lost an account to a single bad session, that is the line in the table that should decide your choice.

These are defaults. The configurator exposes controls on both drawdown and payout split, and E8 One offers 80/90/100% splits. A higher split almost certainly reprices the account; that was not verified, so no price is quoted for it here.

Payouts: the best-documented part of E8

E8 publishes median payout statistics, which is rare in this industry and worth crediting.

11 hours median from payout request to team approval. 24 hours median from request to funds arriving.

Measured over 1 January to 1 May 2026, and stated by E8 as medians. The firm also volunteers that the process “can also take up to 5 business days”, with weekends not processed. Both halves belong in any honest review — a page quoting only the 11 hours is marketing, and one quoting only the 5 days is scaremongering.

Mechanics worth knowing:

  • Payouts exist only in the SimFi Performance stage.
  • Minimum payout is $100 on every product. At an 80% split you must therefore request at least $125 of gross profit.
  • On-demand, no fixed schedule, as long as the Best Day requirement is satisfied.
  • E8 Pro and E8 Zero pay daily and are exempt from on-demand rules. E8 Pro’s minimum is 1%; E8 Zero’s is $100.
  • A request can be cancelled once per 24 hours while still at stage 1.

The “3 days to first payout” is not a lock-up. E8 is explicit that it is simply the fastest the Best Day arithmetic can work in your favour. Competing reviews report it as an imposed waiting period; it is not. Full mechanics are in our E8 payout rules breakdown.

Getting paid requires third-party KYC

Payouts run through WorkMarket, Rise or Aeropay (US only). E8 states plainly:

“There are no direct crypto payment solutions, and all payouts can be processed only through our partners.”

If you cannot onboard with WorkMarket or Riseworks, E8 cannot pay you. Both have unsupported-country lists, and Rise additionally excludes some US states and territories. E8 charges no payout fee; the processor may.

For a firm selling crypto-perpetual accounts, the absence of a direct crypto payout route is a fact worth knowing in advance. It is not a scandal — it is a consequence of using regulated payment partners — but it is not what most people assume.

The rules that end accounts

From E8’s published trading policies:

  • All-or-nothing trading — risking the entire daily drawdown on one trade is not permitted.
  • Hedging across accounts is prohibited, including across your own.
  • HFT limiter — you may not hold more than 50% of your trades for under one minute.
  • Expert Advisors are allowed, but one strategy per user. Several users running the same EA can lead to termination.
  • Copy trading across your own accounts is allowed. Cooperation with other traders is not.
  • Penalty for a prohibited practice: termination plus a refund of the fee from the account where the rule was broken.

And the clause to read twice:

“We reserve the right to de-risk your trading strategy by limiting your risk to no more than 1% per trade idea or time horizon if we detect prohibited practices.”

E8 also states a risk-team interview may be requested at any stage, describing it as random rather than standard.

Reputation: what the records show

Trustpilot, read 26 September 2026. E8 Markets carries a red Warning badge. The rating is unavailable due to a breach of Trustpilot’s guidelines, and the panel reads: “We’ve removed a number of fake reviews for this company.” 3,297 reviews, no TrustScore shown.

E8’s homepage, the same day, advertises “4.79 out of 5 on PropFirmMatch”.

Both statements are accurate. A review that prints one and hides the other is doing something other than reviewing. The fuller picture, including E8’s three-entity structure across Dallas, Saint Lucia and Puerto Rico, is in is E8 Markets legit.

Verdict

What is genuinely good: the rule documentation is better than most of this industry manages; published median payout times are a real transparency signal; the Daily Pause on Signature is a well-designed protection; and no activation fee on any product is a straightforward advantage.

What to go in knowing: the Challenge and Performance stages have different rules, and on E8 One that includes losing news trading exactly when it matters. Payment depends on third-party KYC you may not pass. And the Trustpilot suspension is a matter of record.

E8 Markets prop firm review: common questions

How does E8 Markets compare to other prop firms?

On challenge fee and activation fee, E8 is competitive: a $100,000 E8 Pro account on Perpetual costs $234 with the code, and no product carries an activation fee where several competitors add $99–$149. On rule quality, E8’s documentation is better than most — worked arithmetic rather than a FAQ. On reputation, its Trustpilot rating is suspended. Any E8 Markets vs competitor comparison that leaves out the third item is incomplete.

Which trading platforms does E8 Markets support?

MetaTrader 5, TradeLocker, cTrader and Match Trade. The choice matters beyond preference: E8’s footer states that E8 Funding LLC (Dallas) operates TradeLocker, cTrader and Match Trade, while E8 Markets Ltd (Saint Lucia) operates MT5. Picking a platform picks your counterparty.

Are E8 payouts discretionary?

Partly, and the firm’s own trading rules say so. E8 states that where a trader fails to demonstrate a consistent and sustainable strategy, it “reserves the right to impose restrictions on trading activities, terminate the agreement, or withhold payouts.” It also reserves the right to cap risk at 1% per trade idea where it detects prohibited practices. In normal operation a payout request that satisfies the best-day rule proceeds on the published medians; the discretion exists for cases the risk team flags.

Is E8 Markets simulated or real capital?

Simulated. Every account runs on simulated capital in what E8 calls a SimFi trading environment, and its own disclosure describes the accounts as “for educational use only”. Traders never deposit capital for investment and never risk their own funds. This is an educational simulation with performance-based rewards, not managed capital — which is how most of the industry now works, though E8 states it more plainly than most.

What account sizes does E8 Markets offer?

Eight sizes from $5,000 to $500,000 on E8 One and E8 Pro. The $100,000 account is marked Recommended in E8’s own configurator. Every verified price by account size is on our E8 Markets pricing page.

How do I verify E8’s performance data before trusting it?

Check the claims against their sources rather than against other reviews. E8’s payout medians are published in its help centre and are checkable there. The “4.79 on PropFirmMatch” claim can be checked on PropFirmMatch. The Trustpilot status can be checked on Trustpilot. Trustpilot itself states it does not fact-check reviews, which is worth knowing before weighting any review platform — including the positive scores — too heavily.

What are the trading rules most likely to end an account?

The daily drawdown on E8 One and E8 Pro is a hard breach — hitting it ends the account. Beyond that: no all-or-nothing trading, no hedging across accounts, and no holding more than 50% of trades under one minute. On E8 One specifically, news trading is permitted in the Challenge and prohibited in Performance. Full detail is in the four-product comparison.

How long does a payout request take at E8 Markets?

Medians of 11 hours to approval and 24 hours to funds, with a stated tail of up to five business days and no weekend processing. A payout request can be cancelled once per 24 hours while still at stage 1. Mechanics are in our E8 payout rules breakdown.

On price, the code E8 is worth double on Perpetual what it is on Forex — 50% against 25%, on identical list prices. That is set out in full in the E8 discount code breakdown.
